Hi, I’m mainly using my PC for work, gaming (Warzone, APEX, Helldivers 2). Right now I have an i5-6600k running at 4300Mhz with MSI Z170-A Pro and a 1.36V setup. I’m considering switching to a Ryzen 5 5600X with MSI B550-A PRO and 2x8GB RAM at 3600Mhz. My thoughts are: is this upgrade worth it? Or should I go for AM5 and DDR5 instead? Either way, would I need to replace my AIO?

am4 seems expensive because of its high cost; it works only if you already own it or purchase affordable used ryzens and b3/450 boards. What’s your budget? An am5 with an intel 7600 + z690 might be interesting, though a h610/b660 or z690 at under $100 could also work. If you look locally, the 7500f might be available depending on your country, or you can find it around $120 on AliExpress.

I'm in the U.S. and aiming to stay under $300 for an upgrade. The Ryzen 5 5600X seems like a solid value. Appreciate the advice!
