Metro 2033 and Metro 2033 Redux refer to the same title, just with a different engine. Visually it looks identical, though. The main changes came from improvements in AI behavior and better stealth features. You begin with the standard 2033 version.

I recommend checking out the books Metro 2033, 2034 and 2035. They have been translated into English from Russian and are excellent reads.

The 2033 first release features the full DLC and a remaster. I suggest the reduxes, though the older versions work just as well. Both reduxes focus on late-game play and visuals, just updated slightly.

yeah i heard 2033 then last light cause the storys pick up where the previous left off, not sure how the latest one will play into it
