So I built my first rig with an i7-6800k and a Gigabyte GA-x99 Ultra Gaming configurator (not sure how much the whole name matters). From what I have seen this is kind of a pain for people to get their hands on. I thought about selling it, but the pricing privately is all over the place, and retail doesn't exist anymore. I thought about just turning it into a workstation for my job, but not sure. What would you guys do?

The cost is high due to limited availability of those boards and CPUs, plus fewer buyers since better Ryzen options exist. The 6800K is decent but not exceptional today—consider repurposing it or selling the full package.

It's hard to figure out what to promote it for. I've consistently achieved a stable 4.2GHz with ease, and it performs well for gaming tasks. For multi-tasking, Ryzen seems to be the superior choice. Personally, though, I'm not convinced about the marketing angle.

It seems like you're suggesting that "Reading Rainbow Star" fits this context. Would you like more details about it?

It’s often the less knowledgeable buyers who choose your product simply because they think extreme performance means better quality. If you present it this way, sales should follow quickly.

I understand what you're saying. If you combine them, it works well. The x99 boards aren't the Chinese kind and they sell really fast.
