I recently began playing CS:GO after watching streamers extensively, and once I reached ranked status, I quickly climbed to Gold Nova Master. Now, I consistently rank among the top fraggers in nearly every match, even when losing (I’ve dropped around 80% of my previous games). Most of my recent matches now involve hackers or trolls, and my team often struggles, while my friends are either below my skill level or stuck in Fallout mode. My question is whether I should consider ESEA or FaceIt. Many suggest ESEA offers a more professional environment, but I think I could keep up if I focus on improving. I’ve noticed similar advice for FaceIt too. Ultimately, it’s worth trying one of them, but I’m unsure if it will help me avoid losing my team.
You're asking about your nature as silver, but your recent experience was disappointing—you ended up losing to a strong player (LE) despite queuing, and the result wasn't favorable.
Faceit mostly consists of gold novas pretending they're ready for pro. It's not really worth it, though it can be fun. ESEA offers better players, most of whom compete at a global level. I wouldn't jump in until you reach LEM or Supreme. You're the usual noval player who shifts blame to your team for every loss. Stick with MM for now.
Cevo matches similarly, likely at a more advanced tier than Faceit initially. Faceit comes with a rating, so you should aim for higher ranks before engaging with skilled opponents.
