I'm using just a 120GB SSD and looking for ways to reduce storage needs until I get another drive. I'm wondering if Windows protection is necessary—I understand system restore exists but I’m not sure I’ll need it, and turning it off might cause issues like the swap file. Samsung Magician suggests setting virtual memory to 200MB initially and 2GB total, which could lead to errors if disabled. With 8GB RAM, can I safely adjust these settings to free up space without running into problems?

Could you clarify what you're referring to? I need more details to assess any potential issues.

It might be possible. However, I have it and it resolves issues when needed, so yes.

You can move your pagefile to another drive to free up space on the SSD. See this guide: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Foru...nservergen
