For just two M.2 slots, the HDV covers everything you require. It makes sense to cut costs. If you're interested in alternatives, the B650 LiveMixer is a solid choice, especially given its recent sales boost. However, spending an extra $40 on it doesn't offer much advantage over the HDV, and its look is quite polarizing. No, the price difference isn't justified. The TUF board isn't poor, but it doesn’t justify a significant premium.

It's unclear if HDV truly outperforms the Asus Prime B650M-A WIFI II. The main difference seems to be price—saving about $12 by switching to HDV. If Prime offers better performance, you'll likely keep it; otherwise, HDV might be worth considering. Regarding the VRAM details, "HDV is 8, 50A" and "Prime is 4-phase 4C10N / 4C06N" are technical specs, but their meaning for someone not familiar with overclocking isn't clear.

The HDV offers superior performance compared to the B650M-A Prime. While I won’t go into excessive specifics, the key point is that having more power stages with higher amperage and MOSFET-based VRMs works better. What really counts is how the VRMs handle temperature during load—though the HDV isn’t perfect, it can reliably drive a 7950X and performs much better than the Prime.
