You have a standard laptop with an i5 and 7730m GPU. Installing "the worse mod" might not be necessary unless you're concerned about performance or stability. Since you're using it with minimal settings, it's likely fine as is. Avoid upgrading unless you're certain it won't cause issues.

Settings won<|pad|> can affect your laptop. Usage might. These two aren't connected unless you add a limit like Vsync. Temperatures do. @experiences with non-techies.

Set it up. You'll notice improved performance. I also discovered that boosting frame rates mainly depends on detail quality and anti-aliasing. Even though the game's speed fluctuates, it tends to spike around light sources or busy scenes.
