Sounds like spending a lot on the 6th generation isn't worth it—probably not much faster than the 4th already. Keep the 1231 V3 if you need it, otherwise sell it.

The 1231V3 outperforms the 6500 and 6600K in most benchmarks except for single-core performance, where the 6500 edges out with about a 5% advantage and the 6600K follows with a bit more depending on overclocking. In summary, no.
