Consider purchasing Windows 8.1 from G2a for around $40, including the shield. Decide if it’s worth it. Also, estimate the download time for upgrading from Windows 7—typically it takes a few minutes to several hours depending on your connection speed.

I don't believe it improves from version 7, but go ahead if you're okay with a lower price.

For what reason are you asking this? The price of M8 is unclear, but I understand you're having trouble reading.

You can obtain an upgrade package that requests a key and installs Windows 8.1. I’m curious about the download time.

Uncertain if it supports upgrades from version 7, but it seems worth the price. You’ll probably need to install ISO and create a bootable DVD or USB drive. Making a user-friendly USB tool like Rufus is straightforward.

It upgrades from version 7 to 8. And for OP, if you plan to purchase it with Shield, then yes! I tried it and it performed perfectly!

It has that Win8 look but they also introduced some updates, like bringing back the start menu (thank you).
