Hello, I understand you're looking for guidance on installing an operating system. Since your PC runs Windows 7 and has a mid-range processor, I recommend exploring lightweight or modern alternatives. Linux distributions like Linux Mint, Ubuntu, or even a minimal Windows version could work well. Let me know if you'd like more details!

I'm not sure what you're aiming for with that device. However, I would prefer to stay on Windows 7 if possible.

I wouldn't rely on someone's advice until you share your intended purpose.

If you don’t want to stick with Windows 7, consider Ubuntu. It’s a solid Linux option for gaining some experience. Pop OS is also quite straightforward to learn.

Choose a Linux distribution if you don’t want Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. W7 is no longer recommended because it’s outdated for security reasons. Ubuntu is often the preferred option.

Full on Ubuntu might be too demanding for an older system. I suggest Lubuntu or Bodhi. Both run on Ubuntu, stay actively developed, and are lighter than the standard version. They should perform better and run more smoothly on machines with limited resources.

Consider Lubuntu. It offers a swift, lightweight desktop experience with full Ubuntu support.
