I need to decide between the Ryzen 5 and 7 3700X for gaming and coding. I want something capable of running Fortnite, Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 4, and Beatsaber. Since I'm on a budget, I should pick the more affordable option without sacrificing performance too much.

The 3600 should cover your workloads well. If the 3700X feels out of reach for your budget or you'd need to cut elsewhere, I recommend going with the 3600. For advice on other system components, you can post a question on the New Builds and Planning forum; it usually provides helpful guidance:
