You can observe their differences clearly, and indeed Norton achieves 6* consistently, while MSE reaches around 3.5*.

We are offering guidance, he might not realize better options are available—perhaps even more affordable or free. If someone inquired about the top sound card for everyday use without knowing if built-in audio exists, wouldn't you recommend it?

It's actually true. I've been using it for years and never encountered any viruses or malware.

Not really a good match. The antivirus built into Windows isn't great. My free virus protection has been terrible—blue screens everywhere, even during setup, and no assistance from support. Comodo, Avast free, and AVG worked better. With the paid Norton, Kapersky, and Avast versions, the few small problems I faced were resolved fast by support. I also tried McAfee, but it didn't justify the three-year fee or the hassle to get a refund. Their help was awful. Edited December 17, 2015 by dom1310df

Check Kaspersky for a solid AV option around $30 for three units.

Avoid Norton entirely. It's not worth it. However, Norton 360 covers all their offerings, so if you must choose, go with that option.

I'm not claiming Norton is the worst antivirus, but there are free options worth considering.

Thanks for your feedback. The Norton key I received was invalid (GGWP). I'm planning to switch to ESET or MBAM until the issue with G2A is resolved.
