I purchased a PC some time ago with an Athlon 200GE processor. My graphics card is a GTX 1650. I recently got a new motherboard, power supply, and case. Now I'm looking for a CPU. The board is AM4—preferably something more affordable but still compatible with Windows 11 and avoiding performance issues. I don’t mind the condition much. I’m based in the UK.

Another issue to consider is if the VRMs are suitable for the CPU. For instance, I discovered a Ryzen 7 1700X for £140 on eBay, which might be a decent choice, though it consumes more power than the 220GE.

It seems I might require a third-generation or newer system due to problems with Windows 11

I'm looking at a motherboard that supports a powerful chip with a high thermal design power rating. What model are you using?
