Avoid getting a non-Z board for Intel since you can't overclock it. You miss out on RAM speed and additional features despite small savings. That season is sufficient to simply choose a Ryzen.

Thanks, I'll proceed with that option. The specs provided were recommended by the shop. I didn't realize the Pro 4 was a better pick. Also, regarding the I5 10400—does it consume more power compared to others?

There are several components that contribute to a CPU, such as the FPU, IPC, cache design, etc., but B series boards restrict RAM speeds which can impact the 10400's performance while the 3600 offers higher IPC. In the end, their results will be quite similar.
