I own a 3070 plan at 1080p and a 165Hz monitor. I thought about switching from my Ryzen 7 2700X to an i5 13th Gen, but I’m hesitant about the i5 13500 or the i5 13600K—those are around $70 each. I’m wondering if it’s really worth the extra $70.

For a 2700x resolution, increasing to 5800x3D is a common suggestion. A quick bio update is all that's required.

I need to replace my motherboard since the one I have is really small, and I'm nervous about damaging the pins—I've already fixed an issue with the CPU by using a similar method.

Tiny seems unrelated to the topic at hand. It’s possible you’re asking about how a small component connects to something bigger, like a pin installation. The 5800x3d chip is a specific CPU option.

There are no obvious risks mentioned about breaking pins on a new motherboard. Ensure proper handling and follow manufacturer guidelines to avoid damage.
