You're weighing two options: the cheaper Gigabyte B450M DS3H versus the more expensive Asus TUF B450M-PLUS. The Asus model offers better performance and features, but you're curious if the extra cost is justified. Consider what matters most for your build—budget or long-term reliability.

Asus consistently delivers quality. The higher cost reflects superior connectivity options and improved power delivery units, enabling smoother CPU and RAM overclocking. Keep in mind that exceeding the 2666MHz RAM speed limit is essentially an overclock attempt.

It relies on the specific equipment you have. You won't require a crosshair when using an Athlon processor.

You're looking at a solid setup with those components. The Asus should work well with your hardware.

The DS3H remains a more affordable option, especially for a 2600 model.

He was making a lot of nonsense, and I already unsubscribed long ago because he talks too much. This video repeated the same thing, with a title claiming Gigabyte couldn't be trusted, but he focused on his rival's refusal to discuss him...and I added: "And AMD was there too." Nothing in his past supports that claim.

Asus is really a trusted brand, their products have great bios and strong durability. The build quality is impressive. I’ve found that spending more on an ASUS motherboard from the H61 lineup often works out well.
