He mentioned their motherboard has an issue with Thunderbolt 3, while I have an ASUS board with USB-C and it works fine.

I'm setting up a fresh build now because prices are too high. I'll wait until they drop before purchasing. My budget stands at $2500. Components include a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3080, and a motherboard that's still in the decision phase but expected to be around $200–$250. RAM will be Crosshair Vengeance LX64 with 64GB, clocked at 3600MHz. Storage should be a 2TB Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD. The PSU isn't decided yet, but an 850W unit in 80+ Bronze seems sufficient. A Lianli LANCOOL 215 X will handle the cooling.
