I'm looking to explore VR and the Windows MR headsets are affordable on Amazon. Should I purchase one for someone starting in VR? Also, does my PC meet the requirements? Let me know if you need benchmarks or specifications.

I still enjoy the worst version despite its flaws. It was pretty bad even without SteamVR support. Now it’s just a bit disappointing. I’m holding off until the next generation releases something better. If you’re willing to pay, go for it. But please share the specifications!

Regarding low settings, the information clarifies that the RX 560 model uses 4GB RAM instead of the previously mentioned 2GB.

For SteamVR titles you’d need at least an RX 570 with low settings, ideally a 580. Your 560 might handle some basic Windows MR features, but VR games are much more intensive.

Windows also provides its own utility to check if your PC supports WMR. https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NZVL19N7CNC For the controllers, Bluetooth is essential. Most reviews overlook this detail. Beyond hardware, if you manage to run it, consider using a headset. I was initially unsure about WMR but tried a Samsung Odyssey and fell in love! It offers an immersive experience that keeps me engaged for long periods. Now that I own one, I believe WMR is the top choice available. It combines convenience, seamless setup, no need for base stations or extra ports, and lets you connect to any app store—Steam VR works great, and Revive integrates Oculus into Steam VR. Try it out!
