Consider purchasing a new GPU if you believe it would be more beneficial. The RX 580 is available on Amazon, but there may be more cost-effective options for a better price. Your current setup includes a 1050 2GB and a G4400 CPU. Let me know your thoughts on upgrading or sticking with what you have.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing a new i5 unless it's the newest 6-core models. Consider used options or opt for a Ryzen 5 or even a 3 with a basic B350 motherboard. An RX 580 would struggle significantly with a dual-core processor.

Consider upgrading to a new CPU and motherboard if you're looking for better performance. Ryzen offers strong value for budget builds, but check your specific needs before deciding.

Ryzen delivers superior value compared to Intel across most categories. Intel excels mainly in high-end scenarios, especially for games with high refresh rates or CPU-intensive titles. In the near future, investing in an i5 might require a significant price increase, but the 6th and 7th generation i5s provide solid performance unless you repurpose them or secure discounts. A key benefit of Ryzen is AMD’s commitment to supporting the AM4 platform through 2020, allowing you to purchase a decent motherboard and then upgrade to basic models like the R5 (typically 6c/12t), with more affordable options such as the 1400 and 1500X, or the R3 (4c/4t) for budget builds. When newer Ryzen chips with 7nm technology arrive later this year or next, you can upgrade smoothly. If you’re unable to afford a quality Ryzen CPU and motherboard, consider used i5s; they tend to be reliable and durable. Used units are generally fine, difficult to damage, and purchasing from eBay (especially verified sellers) offers protection via PayPal—both platforms support secure transactions if issues arise. I own several 2011+ Xeons from eBay, and they perform well.

The G4400 struggles with components above 1050, so consider upgrading your CPU. Alternatively, opt for an 8th-gen or Ryzen processor.

It seems an i5 would be the optimal choice. Appreciate the assistance!
