I enjoyed 1 and 2, especially 1, but thought Infinite was a total letdown. It felt like a 12-year-old trying to impress by quoting internet memes and phrases, coming across as shallow and lacking real depth.
Run through Bioshock 1 and bypass the second level if needed, jumping straight to Infinite. Make sure you boost Bioshock’s 1-person view, as the standard setting is poor.
You should try Bioshock 1 and Infinite. Bioshock 2 is essentially a follow-up with little substance, almost like a hollow continuation. It feels like a sequel without purpose, lacking the compelling narrative of the originals.
I'm not alone in finding Infinte underwhelming. It's just two levels, which isn't enough for many who bought it at full price. It could have been a decent DLC for the base game if it had a higher price tag. With Steam offering it away now, it seems worth getting.
Bioshock 1 stands out as a true masterpiece, while the others are overrated—skip them.
BioShock 1's models are locked at 30fps which means if you play the game at a higher frame rate it would look wierd so use a program like MSI afterburner to cap the framerate at 30. BioShock 1 and 2 are both great games, 2's story isn't as good but that doesn't change the fact that's it's a good game regardless. Infinite is it's own thing, even though it predates the two previous games it's not directly linked to them, there's only one reference to BioShock 1 if I'm remembering correctly
