I started playing RS in late 2006 and stayed active until around 2011-12 when updates like RS3 and Combat Evolved became popular. I’ve picked up on the new mechanics but am unsure if I want to continue. I’m searching for MMOs compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows. Are there other games that match that setup?

I no longer play. Rs3 feels outdated, while old-school stuff is entertaining but becomes dull after everything is covered.

They’re a group that’s been restricting access for those who haven’t mastered macro techniques. I’m feeling a bit frustrated about it. The situation hasn’t changed much, really—just how you approach the game. It’s the same as before.

They've significantly altered the game since around 2007. Right now I'm taking a break from my Windows PC and prefer Planetside 2, which is an MMO with impressive scope. I still come across some solid shooters for Linux like Insurgency, TF2 or CSGO, but I haven't found games with expansive open worlds for multiplayer like RS or PS2.

I haven't found anything matching the vibe of OSRS. Mostly just WoW-style clones or similar MMOs. Path of Exile feels like a Diablo 3 spin-off with more MMORPG elements. I suggest giving it a shot—it's free!

WoW offers better value unless you already own a lot of items from RS and wish to refresh your collection!
