Hey there, so I've been checking out Overwatch for the last couple of weeks. I really enjoy how the game is designed and played. I tend to focus on just one title at a time, spending 3-4 years getting really good. I'm thinking about moving from Dota 2 to Overwatch recently, but I've never played a Blizzard title before. I'm a bit nervous about starting something new. How does Overwatch compare to Valve in terms of company reputation? I don't want to invest a lot of time only to discover the company makes a major mistake. Also, does Overwatch have a high skill cap? If so, what's the maximum?

EDIT: Also, do we have hats and a trading system in Overwatch?

Generally, I see no trading systems like cosmetics in games; most titles don’t last long. I wouldn’t stick with Overwatch if I wanted something lasting four years—probably I’d keep playing Dota instead.

I thought Overwatch should feel more like Dota 2, because people keep calling it an esport.

Some believed Titanfall had involvement in the gaming scene as well.

Only a single game for ages 2 to 3? Really disappointing.

It was clear titanfall would be a poor experience before launch. @bluefire908 blizzard isn't a risky firm. The skill level is still unclear early on, but ranked mode will keep challenges high. I’m puzzled about some of these developers’ recent claims, as it seems they’re new to PC gaming. However, there’s no need to worry about long-term issues.

Titanfall was genuinely strong, though it failed to keep viewers engaged. It was a fresh IP with exclusive content, performing better on Xbox One than other platforms.

The figures about PC purchases vary widely. Those who bought the game on x1 match the regular COD buyers, which doesn’t really matter to me. Avoid using Titanfall as a measure for how long games stay popular on PC. The age of TF2, CS:GO, League of Legends, and Dota 2 isn’t clear. I still had packed servers in Bad Company 2 back then. TL;dr poor games fade fast, but solid ones last a long time on PC.

Games limited to a small audience, like those restricted to one platform, face greater challenges on PC no matter how strong they are. On Xbox One, the broad player base enjoyed the game more fully, making it harder for Titanfall to compete. Long-term marketing has kept League of Legends and Dota dominant in their respective communities, not because of quality. Most individuals who dislike Titanfall likely never played it, and it remains one of the top multiplayer shooters of the decade.
