I think a remake only makes sense if the original game is at least ten years old. That gives me a baseline. It also needs to be something worth redoing, so for ten-year-old titles there aren’t many options—most things feel stale and don’t have much appeal. I’d rather see a reboot than a remake, like with the new Tomb Raider. A lot of games already have their own nostalgic vibe, such as GTA Vice City. The only time I’m really excited about a remake is for something really top-notch... Speaking of that... guess what? They actually care about their remakes, and I’m not complaining at all.
I’d really like CD Projekt Red to recreate or remaster the original Witcher title, mainly fixing the repetitive combat system and polishing the visuals since I genuinely love the game. The combat works fine now, but I think it could be smoother after some adjustments.
I have tried this, there is a reason it says beta, it' crap. I want a real remake of GTA San Andreas. That's way I am so excited for GTA V sicne it's basically that. I also want to see Need for Speed Most wanted and Underground 2 remade with the new engine. The Suffering: TIes that Bind is one otehr title that I want to see remade, at least so that it can support x64bit OS.
World of Warcraft and Call of Duty feature updated engines and designs each year, offering fresh experiences without repeating the same version.
