I’m seeking your thoughts on improving my gaming setup. I’m thinking about switching from a RTX 3080 to a RTX 5070 Ti, and possibly swapping the CPU as well. I’m not sure if it’s the right move, but I’d like to know what to consider.
Current setup:
RTX 3080 with Ryzen 5800X.
Reason for thinking about an upgrade: BF6 isn’t performing well. In crowded scenes I only manage 60–70 FPS, which is frustrating. I’m used to high frame rates in games like Apex and Overwatch, especially in shooters. While I won’t reach those numbers, a consistent 120–144 FPS would definitely help.

What I want: At least 120 - 144 fps in BF6 so on high/ultra settings. At 1080p or 1440p? I know this is a much repeated and annoying question, but will my current cpu bottleneck the 5070ti? For 1080p it would definitely be great, though I'm not sure if it's practical. At 1440p it would be even better.
I recommend investing wisely in a system without compromising quality.

Since you have an RTX 3080 and they experienced high transient load spikes, I'm doubtful about using the PSU from your old build again.
The newer GPUs are definitely more energy efficient than the 3000 series.
