Hello, I've successfully installed a 3070ti with the GPU issue I faced. I'm planning to combine it with a 16GB 3600 G-Skill Trident Z, Samsung 980 EVO Pro 256GB, and an NVMe 1TB SSD. My RAM is a Samsung 980 EVO Pro 256GB, paired with a 280W watercooler (depending on whether I choose H510 Flow or Fractal Torrent). There are several issues with this setup. Only a 250gb SSD? Skip the HDD and use just an SSD. Modern games run much better on solid state drives. High-end hard drives are still slow today. You don’t need such a costly drive—cheaper SSDs work well. A small SSD paired with a large HDD is outdated. Make sure your RAM is CL16. The AIO is way too expensive for its function. An Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 offers similar performance at a much lower price. Don’t waste money on pricey cases; a basic Phantom FP600 or Corsair 4000D will suffice. What’s your PSU? The MSI Z690 Pro fits perfectly here.
I’d remove this option entirely. The VRM setup is really unnecessary for a 12600k system, and you probably won’t notice much gain over the Z690-A Pro. Even if you go with an i7 or i9 later, the benefits won’t be significant. Same applies here—skip it. It’s pricier than necessary for the performance you’re getting. The decision really hinges on whether you need the extra connections from the Z690-A Pro. I’d recommend the Z690-A Pro and TUF B660 instead. Personally, I’d pay a bit more for a board with at least seven USB-A ports, which this one lacks. Worth the extra 20 euros if you value those ports.
