I often rely heavily on RAM. My system has 2x8GB which isn’t sufficient. I play a lot of modded games and keep many online manga tabs open—often hundreds—so I stay productive that way. Even when idle, the CPU stays busy with about a third to half its capacity. I’m trying to future-proof my setup as much as possible. Right now 16-32GB works, but it’s becoming the bare minimum. A few years ago 8GB would have sufficed, but that’s not ideal anymore. Over time it will likely increase further, so I’m preparing in advance. My GPU is fine now; my CPU will be upgraded later, and then the power supply too. It’s just part of the upgrade process. I don’t understand why wanting a bit more RAM is seen as a problem. I’m asking for brand and model suggestions rather than capacity details. Any recommendations for gamers would be helpful? Also, I know 128GB is excessive, but I could afford it if needed. That’s just something I considered.
They often advised me to avoid using just four sticks and suggested switching to two 16GB sticks. I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. I’m aware that dual-channel memory works better with two 8GB sticks, but I’m unsure about quad-channel options.
You're facing a lot of tabs? That's outside my usual scope. It seems your approach to planning isn't quite right—go for 64 or 128 RAM if you're serious. For an AM5 setup, 4 sticks is tough right now; Am4 and Intel are better suited. I'd keep 2 sticks on AM5 for now, maybe a 2x24 configuration would work.
Thanks for the details. I’ve saved everything on Opera GX and quickly review multiple tabs, stopping any that don’t have new chapters. Opening one at a time would be way too slow—over three times longer. The built-in RAM limiter helps but blocks all tabs, so it’s not ideal. Vengeance Pro seems like the best option aside from Dominator Platinum.
