Checking your current setup vs a potential upgrade can help you decide. Your current Intel Pentium G3220 runs two cores and two threads, which should handle Minecraft well at 150 med settings and 600 low settings. A newer CPU like the Intel i3 4170 would likely boost performance due to better efficiency and higher clock speeds.

Not really a good deal. You have a few choices depending on your motherboard. You can likely find an Intel i5 around $70, which would be the most affordable. Models like the i5 3470, 4570, and 4590 are available on Amazon for $70 to $80 and should fit your setup. This would be a solid 4C processor and a significant improvement. Consider buying used on eBay for a CPU and motherboard bundle. Look for setups with a 10th generation i3, a modern CPU, DDR4 memory, and an M.2 storage drive.
