Seems like you're drawn to Fallout's gameplay, not Battlefront. Enjoy the experience!
Hey OP. I experienced a mix of excitement and nervousness about both titles, yet ended up securing both at reasonably affordable prices. Fallout 4 seems a bit underwhelming. There’s a lot of buzz around open-world RPGs before you dive in, but Fallout 4 feels quite similar, streamlined. Still, it has its own narrative, though the side quests so far resemble familiar patterns—getting items, clearing areas, completing simple interactions. I haven’t fully explored the main story yet. The combat is better than before, but it still lacks excitement. Overall, I’ve invested time so far and plan to play more today.
I tried the Battlefront beta—it’s another streamlined take on its genre, lacking depth. No in-game server access, no mod support, less team coordination compared to modern titles. Still, the visuals are impressive and it has a Star Wars vibe. The full version may include richer gameplay options.
Which one do you prefer? In some ways, both Battlefront and Fallout 4 are simplified versions of their predecessors, enhanced in certain areas while losing others. Fallout 4 is distinctly Bethesda, so any concerns about Skyrim or Fallout 3 might carry over. Battlefront feels like DICE prioritized aesthetics over polish, focusing mainly on beautiful environments.
Battlefront could be a good pick if you enjoy immersive settings, but some players thrive on the atmosphere of open-world experiences, even with weaker mechanics elsewhere. Both games have their appeal.
Another point: the newly released Call of Duty, Black Ops 3, now has mod support and dedicated servers. It’s an MP FPS with vast potential, though tools won’t be available until next year—uncertainty remains about how players will use them.
They represent entirely distinct categories of games. For those who favor action-packed shooters, try Star Wars. Those who enjoy titles such as Fallout and Skyrim should opt for Fallout 4.
It's moment to choose decisions as wise leaders do. By tossing a coin!
