I've been away from PC building for a while and planning a 7800X3D build soon. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p3zZNc The ASUS TUF board looks appealing, supports PCIe 5.0 and has solid M.2 slots. I won't be using Wi-Fi. Are there any other options that could suit me better? I don't require heavy connectivity since I'll mainly play games. I'll include a webcam, microphone, and standard accessories—just that's it. A 2.5GB NIC is a good choice.

Some cost-saving tweaks applied—case preference matters. Rams were upgraded for better future compatibility (8000+ capability), and RGB moved to the cooler. I suggest the B650(m) Aorus Elite Ax due to its many I/O options at a low price, though I’m unsure why PCPP marks it as incompatible with the 7800x3D. It’s possible Giga hasn’t updated its BIOS for the 7800x3D yet.

I considered using a complete ATX setup for better handling. I also prefer some top-tier cooling solutions. What issues did you encounter with the RAM?

Theres an atx version of the board i reccomended Peerless assassin and phantom spirit are hih end coolers for a fraction of the cost, look for some cooler benchmarks on yt and youll see what i mean 6000c36 is problably gonna be meh rams like samsung 16gbit b die that top out at a pathetic 6600. 6000c32/30 are hynix a dies thatll go 8000 and beyond so when you upgrade your cpu all you have to do is overclock your rams instead of swapping them out to make use of the new cpus better imc, 8000+ should ride out the entire ddr5 generation if skylake imc was anything to go by (topping out around 4000 which is still faster than standard 3200c16 now), raptorlake tops out at around 7600-8400 depending on how lucky you get with the imc, check out luumi vids on yt where he ocs hynix a dies to 8000+

A lot of this was confusing for me. My RAM was 6000c36, but the one you’re recommending is 6000c32? And what’s the 8000 number? I’m a bit confused about the RAM details...

The chip supports over 8000 clock cycles, so running it at full potential will yield results above 6000c32. Hyix mainly focuses on benchmark performance rather than raw speed, but this timing is ideal for optimizing specific I/O operations. If you want to push the limits further, adjust trfc, trc, tfaw, trrd-l/s, and fully utilize trefi. For stability checks, use prime95 large FFTs or similar stress tests like Tm5, Memtest86 bootable USB, or HCI Memtest. Consider adding a small 0.05V voltage tweak to tighten trfc.

Still mostly confusing, but I’ll try to get the RAM you mentioned.

What makes you suggest that over the TUF?

This product looks promising, doesn't it? The -F option appears to offer a good deal.
