I saw the same thing about Ryzen too. If you choose a 3600X or similar, could it really last three to four years or longer?

Hope the construction turns out as swift as possible. Enjoy the building!

3600 should work fine. Consider allocating more to a 3700x or lowering it to a 2700x. Over three to four years, having eight cores will likely become standard, while six cores would be considered entry-level.

The Ryzen seems ideal for six cores and twelve threads, though your budget matters. You’ll need a new Mobo GTX 1660, which needs at least 250 minimum Core i5 8600K, or a new mobile graphics card as well. The Ryzen offers better value for performance compared to those options.

I suggest a maximum of 250 for the CPU. But I’m open to going further if it makes sense. For MOBO I’ll cap at 110, and I’m okay with the 1660 since I’ll be selling my old graphics card and CPU too.

The chip is experiencing significant shaking problems. Despite years of testing, comparing it to a 3600x doesn’t make sense.

You're welcome on that point. With a Core i5, you should be able to play and stream using the RYZEN, though it's priced at $254 for six threads. The RYZEN 3600X offers twelve threads for $154 on Amazon. Enjoy!
