I used a 1800x resolution and switched to 3600. For gaming, the 1800x felt poor, but the 3600 single-threaded performance is roughly 30% better. I don’t stream or edit videos, just play games and purchase unnecessary items online, so the 3600 works fine for me.
Thanks for the feedback, everything went well. I just placed an order for the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and MSI X570 GAMING PRO carbon. I’m hoping it won’t disappoint as much as MSI has with their past experiences. I’ll stick to mid-range MSI and entry-level Asus for my builds. I’m excited to be ready by next Friday and Saturday with new, stable BIOS updates. I’ll share the benchmarks soon.
