Ark is merely a buzzword game; I wouldn’t invest in it... Each month another title captures significant interest, like Rust.
Uncertain about the meaning of 7 days to die, unless you own a powerful PC or accept low-quality graphics, skip ARK.
ARK is quite enjoyable, though it lacks optimization, so you shouldn't anticipate excellent frame rates at high settings—unless you push it to DX10... but it receives regular updates.
I own both titles and have tried nearly every game in the survival category. I strongly favor "7 Days to Die" over anything else. It performs much better than Ark, which is one of the least well-optimized games I've encountered.
