Consider your budget and what you need from a processor. AMD might offer better value, while Intel could provide more stability for certain tasks.

If you're patient, it's better to upgrade your GPU. Based on the games and settings you use, upgrading will boost FPS more efficiently while spending less money. A platform upgrade needs a new CPU and motherboard (200 + 100 = US$300). When prices drop again, you could get a 3060 and trade in your old RX570 for about US$250. By the way, I really like your username!

I’m acquiring a GPU from a friend using an AMD RX 5500 XT. I was thinking more about the overall setup, p.s thanks and love your message too!

stay focused on intel, an 10700f with 8 cores is more affordable than a 5600x6 while offering two extra cores and still providing solid single-core performance. a decent b460 board such as the b460 torpedo works well, but verify your board supports multi-core boosting since it greatly boosts speed. power limits are tight, so consider throttling and adjusting limits if needed.

Consider enhancing the processor—an i5 10400f or 11400f remains a strong mid-range option. Alternatively, wait for a better GPU release after the current shortage ends.
