The 6400 offers little improvement over a 1200 AF build, especially if it's not even that. You're likely sticking with an outdated platform that won't receive updates. If you already have a 1200 AF setup with a board and enough RAM, it's best to stay put.

Intel's sixth generation is no longer viable. 1200 AF offers a better alternative, provided your motherboard supports it.
