I've also been having fun with Discord, it's really nice to use.
i don't get why people are having issues with skype. my experience was limited to an athlon 64 with just 1gb of ram. when i tried a 2-way video call using an ethernet camera and mic, performance was poor. in most other situations, the system used almost no resources.
