I'm considering switching to a Linksys EA5800 router but my roommate thinks my internet speed is limited by the hardware. I'm exploring options for a gaming router with quicker Ethernet performance without needing extra broadband or Wi-Fi plans. Any suggestions on suitable models?

Tell me about your internet setup—what type of connection do you have, what speeds are expected, and what speeds you're actually receiving? The current router only supports 100Mbps ports, so upgrading to gigabit ports would improve performance.
