I was running GTX 1650 SUPER with 16GB AARVEX RAM single stick (CL-16-18). After upgrading to RTX 4070, I still used the same RAM but experienced crashes. Blender stopped working frequently, likely because of memory issues. When using GTX, crashes were more common, but after the RTX upgrade they decreased to 3-5 crashes per day. What advice do you have? Your specs: Ryzen 5 3600, 3600MHz, 450MHz, dual RAM slot, AARVEX, Frision 16GB, RTX 4070, 12GB OC, Gigabyte Windforce, Crucial P5 Plus SSD, 850W cooling, 80 Gold.

I’d launch Task Manager during Blender’s operation and monitor your performance stats. Boosting RAM only makes sense if you’re genuinely low on memory; otherwise, it offers little benefit.

I'll proceed with that, already accomplished but never experienced 99% RAM during Blender use.

It might not relate to memory size. Did you run MemTest to check for errors in your memory? Which Blender version are you using? There could be an issue with a part of your scene. What activity were you performing right before the crash?

The issue mainly occurs during transitions to wireframe or shading mode. I've got many arrays and mirror modifiers set up on objects, and it often crashes unexpectedly. No memory tests were run, and I haven't noticed any problems with the downloads.

Execute the extended test. It may require several hours.

I ran a full memory test and confirmed no issues.
