5600 represents a solid improvement. The X model or the cheaper alternative would be preferable. Expect to spend less than $100 on a used one, since the new version costs around $130.

In my country, a 5600 costs about 180 dollars, while the X version is priced at 200 dollars. This explains why on the second market it’s only 50 to 60 dollars less.

It works well for me. No issues so far. Probably because I play at 1080p and focus mainly on WoW, Genshin Impact, while I handle university tasks (mostly coding medium-sized projects).

Well then, unless you need something to help with stuttering or CPU delays, staying on your current CPU is probably fine. It might even become more affordable in the future.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I plan to save more and upgrade my GPU rather than the CPU, and once that’s done I might consider getting a new CPU to avoid any performance limits.
