Check the monitor first, then think about a CPU upgrade if your speed isn’t quite there. Since an ultrawide display will make resolution more important, most gains will come from that screen. Intel could really boost its offerings at some point, so you might need a budget CPU upgrade. The 9700K is already a poor choice.

Track the process first, then the fix is likely to create a GPU bottleneck before the CPU.

I appreciate the ultra-wide specs... your 4770k is limiting the 2080's performance, but a higher resolution would actually ease that constraint. Still, you should definitely push the 4770k to around 4.3-4.4 for a clear boost in FPS.
