You might want to verify if the motherboards support the Ryzen 3rd generation at local AMD stores. Many brands display labels like "AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY" on their products. The B450M board I purchased cost $97 CAD.

Only when it's a 3000 series CPU should I care; otherwise, a 2000 doesn't change anything.
