Mobo requires an update only when it lacks compatibility with a newer CPU you plan to use. At the moment, no AMD CPUs are available that meet this requirement.

It seems you're considering an upgrade and wondering whether to replace your motherboard first. That makes sense, as the motherboard is crucial for connecting components.

Do you grasp completely what the motherboard does and doesn’t do? For most people, it just keeps everything secure. It’s only upgraded when another component needs it. Avoid changing it unless necessary, you’ll see the need when it arises. If your budget is tight, there are many alternatives to boost a PC without a motherboard upgrade.

I don't grasp what a mobile device does and doesn't do. I'd love to learn more about computers.

Explore wikis or YouTube channels about PC components and their functions. Delve further as you discover intriguing details. It’s just investing time to LEARN about these topics. All the knowledge is available—just search online and consider following these YouTubers: Jayz2Cents, Paul's Hardware Tech Deals (highly practical), and Hardware Unboxed (excellent comparisons). You can gain a lot by watching and gradually understanding.

You're free to inquire anything. Some responses might bring a chuckle or raise an eyebrow, but as long as you're confident to ask, we'll provide answers. Consider sharing your full PC details so I can recommend the best upgrades for you. Remember, a PC is more than just the hardware—it includes things like speakers, headphones, a keyboard, mouse, chair, and desk. There are many elements that enhance the overall experience beyond just performance.
