I managed to get a 3800x at a discount and exchanged it for my 1800x. Besides a few problems with the motherboard BIOS, everything appears to function properly. Performance has improved noticeably—about 10-20% better in games like COD:WZ, while other titles stay capped at 144fps. I’m considering an upgrade to RAM and was curious about DDR4 3600mhz options. I’ve been leaning toward the G. Skill Trident Royal, but I’m concerned about spacing between the RAM and my rad, which is mounted on top of the case. My board uses the x370 platform, which doesn’t officially support 3600mhz, though since my CPU does, I’d like to know if a high-end CL16 kit makes sense.
