I haven't played cp, but DDTS includes it often in his tests. The game isn't too tough these days, and it runs smoothly on a basic Ali Express PC with medium to high settings at around 100fps. As mentioned, I haven't found any game I couldn't play yet, especially not RPGs or adventure titles where 60fps seems sufficient. If someone wants that level of performance, they'll need better gear more often, which is understandable. Still, it really depends on how long OP plans to stay on the platform. For now, I think it's still viable, and I'm okay with it lasting a few more years. Let's be honest, CPU speeds have been slowing down for a while—Moore's law seems to be hitting its limit. We might actually be at or below 2nm already, which is a real concern. I just wonder if we'll ever get there.
It’s not just about a basic setup; you need a 3070 and a solid CPU to hit 100 FPS at 1440p on CP2077 with high settings. At around 60 FPS with RT, there are some issues because of limited VRAM... DDTS Aliexpress often displays funny 12 FPS during startup (when the game loads!), which is why I really enjoy his videos.
It really varies, but I remember a few mobile 2070 setups with a motherboard that performed quite well and were pretty affordable—around 500 bucks or less. They ran CP at about 100fps on medium settings, played GTA and other games smoothly, and you could see how different hardware behaves. Plus, he often did some fun upgrades, which were both funny and sometimes surprisingly effective.
