I’ve looked into some details but found no specifics about my setup. My system runs an R5 3600 with 16GB DDR4 RAM and an RX 9070 XT. I’m generally satisfied, but upgrading for higher resolutions is on my mind. The AM5 platform isn’t available right now because of RAM costs, and people expect it to last a long time. Should I switch to an R7 5800X? It’s still available at a reasonable price, and the used market looks calm. 5X00X3D CPUs are still costly. I’m not looking for a big upgrade, just concerned about availability.
I switched from 3600 to 5800X and then to 5700X3D. I didn’t mind the jump to 5700X3D, but I was okay with going up to 5800X.

Thank you all, I purchased an R7 5700X and connected it to a 1440p monitor for my sim rig. I discovered a good price on a 4K OLED model, so I’m moving to that for now. I won’t need to upgrade the monitor for a long time, so I’ll stick with 4K until then. I can still play games smoothly with FSR.
Don't stress, 9070xt covers 4K. For instance, even a 9060Xt works for 4K medium with FSRC.
I avoid products that use ass (hello bordelands 4). Only games requiring an 9060xt for 4K medium are acceptable.
