Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide the best RAM for my AM5 build and feel a bit confused. I've heard that 6000 MT is ideal for AM5 and works well with Infinity Fabric. But I'm not sure if sticking to that number is the best idea—maybe it could actually hurt performance. I just got an F5-6400J3239G RAM that's DDR5-6400 15GBX2 CL32. Should I upgrade to a higher speed RAM or keep it as is? Thanks!

Someone else might offer a clearer explanation, but it seems AM5 helped by separating the infinity fabric clock from other issues.

Starting at 6400 MHz is expected to be challenging with limited real benefits. Many users are trying to purchase kits exceeding 6000Mbps, often facing issues. If you prefer buying RAM and activating XMP/EXPO for smooth performance, sticking to a maximum of 6000 is wise. A reliable M die kit with EXPO has performed consistently since launch. Even if you consider upgrading to around 6200, it should still function well. Currently, EXPO works without problems.
