Hi, your system is experiencing performance limits due to CPU utilization. With a Ryzen 3 3200G paired with the GTX 1660 and an A320M motherboard, you're seeing high CPU usage (80-100%) in intense games while the GPU stays under load (60-70%). In some titles, CPU hits 100% and GPU drops to 20-25%. You're considering upgrading to a Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 5600, or switching to a new motherboard for overclocking. This could resolve the bottleneck if you overclock, but it depends on your budget and goals. Let me know how you'd like to proceed!

You're experiencing a CPU bottleneck, so upgrading your CPU would be the best move. Pairing it with a B series motherboard and a 5600x would be my recommendation.

I own a Ryzen that supports overclocking up to 4Ghz, it has 4 cores and 4 threads just like yours, but a better CPU would be more desirable.

The optimal approach is to upgrade the CPU to a 5600, ensuring the BIOS supports it. Your graphics card shouldn't be limiting performance—it's mainly about games running on a single core for positioning and collision checks. A faster processor with higher IPC and more cache, such as the improved 5xxx series, will yield better results. It's not just about speed; overclocking offers limited gains compared to a newer chip. The 3200g isn't ideal for overclocking, and you'd likely need a better cooler if you don’t already have one. Changing the motherboard just for this isn't worth it.

I'm uncertain about the A320 board's performance, especially with a Ryzen 5000—consider opting for a solid B450 instead.

You're unlikely to find a 4GHz clock speed on your existing motherboard, and the 5600X is currently a solid option. If you're looking to invest in a more powerful motherboard, consider upgrading your CPU as well. The performance boost from moving from Ryzen 3000 to Ryzen 5000 is notable, and adding a better GPU later won't hurt.

Also consider the Ryzen 5600. Make sure you're using the newest BIOS for that board: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-PR...upport#cpu. The link for download is https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7A36vA64.zip. For overclocking, you'll likely need a more advanced motherboard.
