With gigabyte boards, you can’t simply update to the newest version. That specific board (the one I owned before the X570) requires BIOS and firmware updates you must follow. Review the BIOS list, identify all required versions, and proceed accordingly. Using an AGESA 1207 will boost performance, making it feel like a fresh or upgraded system compared to the outdated versions.

No, you don’t need the rear USB port for BIOS updates. A front USB port can also be used if required.

Varies by CPU, but usually doesn't run the standard BIOS. Often just alpha releases with many issues.
