The Asrock site indicates you need BIOS P8.01 for the 5700X3D, but it doesn’t specify how to upgrade. You may need to update gradually from P4.60 up to P8.01, or you could attempt a direct jump to P8.01 if supported. Check the latest documentation for exact steps.

P8.01 appears to be the upcoming update for your motherboard. It's currently in beta, so it's recommended to upgrade to a stable version like 10.20 or 10.30. https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M Steel Legend/#BIOS1

I haven’t changed the BIOS on my boards for a few years because the latest version was stable and I didn’t face any issues. It should work just fine, though I can’t confirm for certain.
