Hi, you've got a powerful build but facing some noise issues. You've already tried turning off most fans and found that much of the sound remains. Since you're close to replacing the GPU, it might be worth exploring other options. Consider checking out newer GPUs that offer similar performance but better cooling solutions, such as the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or the Intel i7-13700K. These models often come with improved thermal management and quieter operation. Let me know if you'd like more details!

Are you hearing noise consistently or mainly during gameplay? Is your PC placed near a surface like a desk or on the ground? Most components tend to be noisier when under stress. Join the discussion here.

The GPU could be overheating because the thermal paste has worn out over time or the fan settings are incorrect. If the temperature rises above 80–85°C and the fan runs especially fast when idle, it suggests poor thermal paste. This issue is more likely if the fan control isn’t functioning properly, though it won’t cause high temps alone. If the paste is extremely old, you’ll notice this pattern. To check, touch the heatsink while the GPU is warm (~70°C+). If it feels hot to the touch, the paste needs replacing. You don’t need to replace the card; simply remove the cooler from the board and clean both the GPU die and the bottom of the heatsink with alcohol and paper towels. Allow it to dry before applying fresh thermal paste. Use NT-H2 or a higher-quality paste, but avoid conductive materials as they can worsen damage. Make sure the entire die is protected; uneven application can cause problems. Applying a bit more paste around the center helps ensure even coverage without excess waste.

When idle or with just browser tabs, it operates at moderate speeds in the 50s to low 60s. However, when you paste, shouldn’t it heat up significantly? If temperatures stay in that range, it should remain relatively quiet. Regarding the heatsink, is the black component above and beside the green "GEFORCE RTX" labels? You just touched it around 57°C and didn’t notice any heat. I’ll check again when it gets hotter. Also, has the thermal paste affected the card over time—especially after a few months or longer? Thanks again.

It's very noisy constantly, and my computer is elevated off the surface. Appreciate it!

Yes, the sound usually stops when you briefly touch the hub with your finger.

I checked turning off all fans, but the GPU is still active and about 90% of the audio remains, which suggests the GPU is the source. Yes, shutting down the GPU fans should stop the sound.

Well, it's open fans—just press your finger in the middle and stop both to test. If the noise disappears, try this. https://www.gpufanreplacement.com/produc...HMQAvD_BwE If the issue comes from just one fan, you can select to order only that one—red or black cable fan.
