It's pleasant having Windows 10 Pro. The main reason is my appreciation for cutting-edge software, since I previously tested the Insider Preview. I faced some issues, so I purchased a key and it's now excellent! Significantly improved over 8.1, looks much more appealing, and feels noticeably better.
Typical users rely on drivers for Windows 10, and many are backward compatible. If needed, you can add Win7 drivers to Windows 10.
Issues I find bothersome with Windows 10 over 8.1 include excessive Windows Update activity that drains resources heavily, especially on my Surface Pro 3. The tile functionality feels off; the Settings app is confusing and sits between the Control Panel. I’d rather stick to the Windows 8 interface on my Surface and use Windows 10 on my desktop. The tablet experience on Windows 10 is far from what I expected. Overall, it’s worth giving it a try.
